Mission

"A dedicated partnership of committed residents, business leaders, and governmental entities. The organization's purpose is to promote affordable housing and home ownership throughout Clark County and neighborhood revitalization in targeted areas."

History

In 1992, the North Las vegas Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. was created as a community based 501c3 non-profit corporation whose Mission was to implement community revitalization programs and initiatives relating to affordable housing and home ownership in North Las Vegas.

In 1994, the North Las Vegas Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. was granted a Charter Agreement with The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, a National Congressionally Institutionalized affordable housing Non-Profit Corporation, and became the exclusive NeighborWorks® organization in the State of Nevada.

In 2000, the North Las Vegas Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. changed it's name to the Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada, Inc. and expanded its programs and services throughout North Las Vegas, Nevada, Las Vegas, Clark County, and other Southern Nevada communities.

Today, NHSSN continues to expand it's affordable housing services and programs to the communities within Nevada with the objective to sustain and enhance the affordable housing opportunities for our clients and program participants.
